The Kodiak Lions Club and FairWind Players are teaming up again this year to bring dinner theater to Kodiak. The play is "Mrs. Mannerly," directed by Jared Griffin.
Bob Brodie is the event’s main organizer. He says the production is all about the community.
"We use it as an opportunity to support some of the high school programs and to showcase the band, the choir and the culinary arts program here at school," he said. "They’re all top notch and we lose a little money on it but we use it as a community event and we all have a lot of fun doing it."
The event is this Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Harbor Convention Center. Brodie says they had to turn people away at the door last year, so it’s important to get your tickets in advance. Tickets are available Associated Island Brokers, KeyBank, Kodiak Vision Clinic and Residential Mortgage or from any Lions Club member. The event benefits several Kodiak High Schoolprograms and the FairWind Players.
