Track Ready for Palmer Moose, Field Events Indoors

Jay Barrett/KMXT

Thanks to the hard work of community volunteers, Coach Marcus Dunbar says the track at Baranof Park will be usable when the Palmer Moose come to town for two days of track and field events. Runners from Port Lions will also make the trip over to compete.

Track events start at 4 p.m. with a co-ed dual meet. Meanwhile the field events of shot put and high jump will take place this evening in the high school gym.

The girls and boys dual matches Saturday start at 10:30 at the swimming pool, where the long jump and shot put will be held. It appears the landing area for the long jump will be in the pool.

Running events start at noon back at the track. We’ve got a full list of the events after the jump.
