The Kodiak High School Bears faced off with the Palmer Moose this morning in consolation bracket action at the Southcentral Conference baseball tournament in Kenai.

The Bears fell to the Moose 4 to 3 and are now eliminated from the regions.

In the first round Thursday, the Bears, who are the defending region champs, lost to the Colony Knights 7-2. Palmer was blanked by host Kenai yesterday 10-0.

The championship game for the first bid to the state championship tournament will be held tonight at 7 between Colony and the Wasilla Warriors. The loser of that game will face off tomorrow against the last team standing from the losers bracket to determine the second automatic bid.
