Dunbar Headed to NCAA Championships in 5K

A Kodiak runner will be one of 31 University of Oregon athletes headed to the NCAA Track and Field Championships. Trevor Dunbar of the Ducks qualified for the 5,000 meters after taking third in his heat at the NCAA West Regionals on Saturday in Austin, Texas. He had a time of 14-minutes 17 seconds. Two other Ducks also qualified in that distance event, finishing second and fourth in their respective heats.

Oregon also qualified in the women’s 4×400 and 4×100 relays, 1,500 meters, triple jump, and in mens 110 high hurdles, and 4×100 relay.

The national championships will be held in Des Moines, Iowa, this upcoming weekend.
