Paving Resumes on Rezanof Drive East

Maggie Wall/KMXT

The Rezanof Drive East paving project enters a new phase Thursday when workers will begin resurfacing and paving the portion from North Cuttoff Road to Carolyn Street.

A Kodiak Police Department advisory suggests that drivers watch for signage announcing road closures and detours. Expect delays when travelling the construction zone and consider taking alternative routes to avoid the construction entirely.

In addition, no on-street parking is allowed along the Rezanof construction zone during paving and milling. However, the High School parking lot is available for those needed a place for their vehicles.

Of course, like any outdoor project here in Kodiak, paving and other work is dependent on weather, but this portion of Rezanof is expected to take several weeks.

People who live or work along this section who need special accommodations should contact the DOT highway construction engineer.
