The Kodiak City Council will hold a regular meeting tonight (Thursday) in the borough assembly chambers. On the agenda is a vote on the prioritized state capital improvements program list. The city will also vote on accepting the compensation and classification report detailing how competitive city salaries are with similar jobs across the nation. The Kodiak Island Borough Assembly will also meet tonight for a work session in the borough conference room. A number of items will be up for discussion during that work session including garbage and bear issues, and manager hiring process. Both meetings start at 7:30 p.m. and are open to the public. KMXT will broadcast the city council meeting live.
