Canadian Musician Stops in Kodiak on Alaska Tour

On Saturday Kodiak community members will have an opportunity to hear an award-winning Canadian musician. Singer-songwriter and guitarist Matt Andersen won Memphis Tennessee’s “International Blues Challenge” and was recently nominated for two Maple Blues awards, including male vocalist of the year. Andersen has played shows all around the world and is currently on a six city tour of Alaska. KMXT’s Brianna Gibbs caught up with Andersen this week to talk about growing up in New Brunswick, musical inspirations and his upcoming visit to Kodiak.

That was KMXT’s Brianna Gibbs talking with musician Matt Andersen. Andersen will play at the Harbor Convention Center at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are on sale through the Kodiak Arts Council and cost $25 for adults and $20 for students and children.
