Kodiak’s all over TV these days. If it isn’t Coast Guard crews or daring fishermen, it’s ladies looking for love. And if you thought the hype over Alaska’s Emerald Isle was dying down, you’re wrong. Discovery Channel recently announced a new four-part documentary series about Kodiak that will debut next year.
The show, which is called “Kodiak,” will showcase three local families living in Kodiak as they lead hunters and anglers throughout their island home.
Denise Contis is the executive vice president of production and development for Discovery Channel and told Variety dot com that many of the channel’s highest rated shows take place in Alaska. Contis added that this new show will “introduce viewers to the legendary forests and waters of Kodiak Island, one of the most dangerous and isolated places on Earth.”
