Pick.Click.Give. Encourages PFD Sharing

It’s a new year now, which means permanent fund dividend applications are available to Alaska residents looking to cash in on some of the state’s oil wealth. But the annual PFD is also an opportunity for Alaska’s non profits to collect some extra money each year.
Pick. Click. Give. is a program that allows residents to donate a portion of their PFD to various participating non profit organizations throughout the state. There are more than a dozen non profits in Kodiak that participate in Pick.Click.Give. and last year Alaskans gave about $2.4 million to non profits statewide, with more than $42,000 going to organizations in Kodiak. Those looking to donate this year can simple click on the Pick.Click.Give. option when filling out their PFD applications and select an organization and amount they would like to contribute.

Participating Organizations:
The Kodiak Maritime Museum
Kodiak Arts Council
KMXT Kodiak Public Broadcasting Corporation
Kodiak Public Library Association
Hope community Resources
Alutiiq Museum and Archaeological Repository
Alaska Marine conservation Council
American Red Cross
The Salvation Army
Kodiak Community Foundation ACF
Providence Alaska Foundation
Senior Citizens of Kodiak, Inc.
