The Kodiak Bears volleyball team will be heading to the state championships this week in Anchroage, after taking second at the Region III tournament up in Palmer over the weekend.
The Bears beat Soldotna and Colony, but fell to the host Moose to finish second.
Isabelle Riina and Kalameli Matautia were named to the first-team all-stars, with ; Richelle
Walker being named to the second team. Amy Willis was named one of the two coaches of the year, along with Palmer’s Steve Reynolds.
