Bears Sweep Stars in Region III Second Round

The Kodiak High School Bears are at the regional volleyball championship tournament in Palmer. By virtue of their seeding, the Bears had a first round bye, and then swept Soldotna 3 games to 0 in the second round last night.

Kodiak will face off against Palmer at 5 o’clock today for a berth in the region championships game against the winner from the losers bracket at 1 tomorrow afternoon.

The top three teams in the tournament will represent the Northern Lights Conference in next week’s state championships.
