Cummiskey Featured in Statewide Radio

     One local student is getting some statewide recognition for her work in radio. KMXT’s intern Marina Cummiskey has been volunteering at the station for almost two years, and was recently featured in a Spirit of Youth radio spot.
            Spirit of Youth is a statewide award for young adults making positive influences in their communities. Early this fall a representative from Spirit of Youth flew to Kodiak to interview her for one of the organizations radio spots. The piece will be distributed to and featured on radio stations across the state.
             Cummiskey was nominated for a Spirit of Youth award but won’t find out until later this year if she received it.
