Kodiak Republicans in House District 32 strongly turned out for Donald Trump in yesterday’s Presidential Preference Poll, according to figures released by the party.

Trump had 140 of the 361 votes cast, or 39 percent. Ted Cruz had 95 votes to garner 26 percent, with Ben Carson, Marco Rubio and John Kasich rounding out the field with 15-, 14- and 6 percent, respectively.

At the Fisherman’s Hall polling place, 101 people registered as Republican to be able to participate. Total turn out amounted to about 10 percent of total registered Republicans in Kodiak.

KMXT’s Jay Barrett reached District 32 Republican Party Chair Duncan Fields in Washington DC this morning to get his reaction to the results.
