The Kodiak High School boys track and field team repeated as large school state champions over the weekend. The Bears were led by senior hurler Kordel Pillans, who ran away with both the shot-put and discus throw to be voted Male Athlete of the Meet. Pillans’ dominating performance was worth 20 points to the Bears, who racked up 74 total in the win. Kodiak edged West Valley by just 3 points.
