Coming up on this week’s Alaska Fisheries Report, the decision about Pacific halibut quota is focused in D.C. right now. There’s still a lot for regulators to work out before the halibut season opens at the end of March.

Also, the cut to Pacific cod quota this year has been rough for many fishermen. KMXT chatted with one vessel owner based out of the City of Kodiak about how he’s handling the season.
