Alaska Fisheries Report – Aug. 30, 2018

The Governor declares the Chignik fishery an economic disaster area. Normally, fishermen catch a million or so sockeye. This year they caught 128. Just 128.

More bad news from southeast where the pink salmon harvest is the lowest in over four decades.

Be safe fishing. We—and your family—wants you to come home safely.

As always a big thank you to everyone who helps make this program possible each week—including our listeners and all the radio stations that air our show.
