City Council looking at very light agenda for tonight’s regular meeting

KMXT will broadcast meeting beginning at 7:30 p.m.

The Kodiak City Council looks it might have a short regular meeting tonight.

There are no public hearings scheduled, though there are two points in the meeting set aside for anyone who has a comment to share.

Under New Business the council will consider purchasing two new public works trucks from Kodiak Motors. The bid price was for $32,000 each and $64,000 for both.

And finally, an executive session is scheduled at the end of the regular meeting to discuss legal matters. The meeting packet says the council wants to confer with the City’s attorney about litigation involving Kodiak Public Broadcasting Corporation. Kodiak Public Broadcasting owns KMXT.

The packet does not say whether or not the council plans to take any public actions in the meeting after the executive session.

The meeting begins at 7:30 in the borough assembly chambers. As usual, KMXT will broadcast the meeting live.
