Kodiak Chamber of Commerce hosts forum on Ballot Measure 1

Ballot Measure 1 was the topic of discussion at a forum held in the Borough Assembly Chambers on Tuesday night. Ballot Measure 1, officially titled “An Act providing for protection of wild salmon and fish and wildlife habitat”, has become a controversial and confusing issue. Representatives for and against the ballot measure met in a forum last night to discuss the issue with Kodiak residents. Karen Mathias represented Stand for Alaska, an organization opposing the measure and Emily Anderson represented Stand for Salmon, the organization supporting the grassroots measure. Dan Rohrer moderated the forum, hosted by the Kodiak Chamber of Commerce and broadcast on KMXT 100.1 fm.
