Group raising money this weekend for food for elderly who lost Senior Benefits in budget cuts

A lot of Kodiak residents are feeling the pain of Governor Mike Dunleavy’s line-item vetoes.

One group is low income senior citizens. The Senior Benefits Program was cut entirely effective July 1.

A local non-profit group is sponsoring a special fundraising effort this weekend to raise money to buy food cards to distribute to seniors in need.
