Former Kodiak man, age 67, bikes 3,000 miles cross country, will speak at library Thursday at noon

Ken Reinke will speak about his cross country bike ride at the Kodiak Public Library at noon on Thursday in multi-purpose room.

How does a 67-year-old man, who walks with a cane and requires daily insulin injections for diabetes, ride a bicycle 3,000 miles cross country?

One day at a time, says former Kodiak resident Ken Reinke who made the two-month long journey this past spring.

KMXT’s Maggie Wall spoke with Reinke about his trip, which would be a challenge for a much younger, healthier person.
