The regular meeting of the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly scheduled for tonight has been canceled.
No reason was stated on the assembly’s website, but those who follow local government are reminded that it is the time of year when meetings are canceled or rescheduled to accommodate the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season.
The meeting of the Consolidation Committee is still set for Monday the 25-th, but the Joint Work Session of the assembly and the Kodiak City Council for next Wednesday the 27-th has been cancelled according to the borough’s online calendar. The assembly work session for Tuesday the 26-th is still on.
The next regular assembly meeting is set for December 5.
Over on the City side, the regular council meeting and the work session originally scheduled for next week have both been cancelled according to the council’s online calendar.
