Our guests for this special Thursday Talk of the Rock program are Denby Lloyd and Duncan Fields, who explain the issues facing Kodiak salmon fishermen coming up at the Alaska Board of Fisheries meeting. The Board of Fish meets Jan. 11 through 14 at the Kodiak Convention Center.
The Board of Fish will consider 37 proposals to change fisheries regulations dealing with finfish in the Kodiak area.
Denby Lloyd is a former Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Fish and Game who also served as a Kodiak area biologist.
Duncan Fields is the Chair of the Kodiak Salmon Workgroup which works to protect the important historic salmon fisheries in Kodiak.
