Kodiak now has three known active COVID-19 cases

Kodiak’s COVID-19 count has gone up by three more cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of positive cases reported in Kodiak to 19.

Case number 17 was announced Tuesday evening. Cases number 18 and 19 were announced Wednesday afternoon, and are close contacts of case number 17. These three cases are the only known active cases in Kodiak currently.

Case number 17 is travel-related and an Alaska resident.

It is unknown right now if these new cases are residents and travel related.

Staff from the Department of Public Health are conducting a contact investigation and remain in contact with the individuals to ensure self-isolation and care.
