Kodiak COVID-19 count: 70th case reported Friday

The Kodiak COVID-19 count climbed to 70 over the Labor Day weekend. Test results on Friday confirmed the new case, a person who is a close contact of someone who previously tested positive. That person has been isolated and is being monitored.

The Kodiak Emergency Operations Center says it will give more details about this latest case on Tuesday.

Of the 70 cases reported since April 15, fifty have been non-residents and only twenty have been residents of the Kodiak Island Borough.
