Kodiak COVID-19 count reaches 74 cases

Another travel-related Kodiak Island case of COVID-19 was reported on Friday.

The Kodiak Area Emergency Services Organization says this latest case involves a resident who recently traveled and is now in isolation.

Public officials have also identified this person’s close contacts and will remain in touch, to ensure self-isolation and self-care.

The total number of cases associated with the Kodiak Island Borough since the first one was identified in April is now at 74. Two are currently classified as active locally.
