Kodiak COVID-19 case count: one new case, as active cases decrease

Kodiak has another new confirmed case of COVID-19 Thursday, according to the Kodiak Area Emergency Services Organization.

The individual is a Kodiak resident, and their contraction of the virus is presently under investigation. Staff from the Department of Public Health is in contact with the individual, and will ensure self-isolation and care.

This brings the active case count to seven in total, down from 18 last Friday. The total overall for the Kodiak Island Borough since the start of the outbreak is 97. There were three new cases this week.
