Kodiak COVID-19 Count: Three more cases reported for a total of 93

Three more COVID-19 cases were reported in the Kodiak region Thursday morning, which brings the total number reported since April to 93.

The Kodiak Area Emergency Services Organization says 17 of those cases are currently active locally.

One of the cases involves a resident who was a close contact of previously reported cases.

The second is classified a community spread case. And the third is a close contact of the second person.

Contact tracing is under way, with everyone involved in these recent reports in isolation and monitored by local health officials.
