Kodiak COVID Count: As Thanksgiving inches closer, new community spread cases emerge

As Thanksgiving day inches closer, the Kodiak Area Emergency Operations Center continues to announce new community spread cases of COVID-19.

Thirteen new cases have been reported for the Kodiak Island Borough. One case tested on November 18th and another on the 21st have been classified as community spread. There are five new close contact cases, five cases classified as community spread, and one travel related case.

This brings the case count associated with the Kodiak Island Borough to 246 since the start of the pandemic, with 72 cases currently classified as active.
