Kodiak COVID Count: four new cases reported, as EOC vaccination clinic gets underway

The Kodiak Area Emergency Services Organization has reported four new cases of COVID-19 for the Kodiak Island Borough, including one community transmission case and three close contact cases.

This brings the total case count since the start of the pandemic to 1037 cases, with 21 cases classified as active locally.

To date there have been 42 hospitalizations and five deaths due to COVID-19 locally; there are currently no active local hospitalizations due to COVID-19.

There are currently three sites offering Covid-19 testing in Kodiak:

Kodiak Area Native Association KANA

Monday-Friday: 8:30 am- 5:30 pm, Saturday: 10 am- 4 pm

Testing site: 3472 Rezonof Drive East (behind Eyecare Excellence)

Airport testing: Available only for incoming travelers and outgoing village/ remote site travelers.
