Kodiak COVID Count: Six new close contact cases emerge, as active cases remain just below 50

The Kodiak Area Emergency Services Organization has reported six new close contact COVID-19 cases for the Kodiak Island Borough.

This brings the total case count to 979 cases, with 48 cases classified as active locally.

There have been 39 local hospitalizations to date, with five deaths locally. There are no currently active local COVID-19 hospitalizations.

There are currently three sites offering Covid-19 testing in Kodiak:

Kodiak Area Native Association KANA

Monday-Friday: 8:30 am- 5:30 pm, Saturday: 10 am- 4 pm

Testing site: 3472 Rezonof Drive East (behind Eyecare Excellence)

Airport testing: Available only for incoming travelers and outgoing village/ remote site travelers.
