The latest Kodiak COVID 19 outbreak continues.

 

Today (Tuesday) the Kodiak Emergency Operations Center reported twenty-nine (29) new cases of COVID 19 for the Kodiak Island Borough.

 

Twenty (20) cases are close contacts of previously reported cases, and Nine (9) cases are community spread.

 

One hundred twenty-four (124) cases are currently classified as active locally. There are three (3) cases currently hospitalized in Kodiak, and local health care providers remain busy with COVID 19 positive patients seeking care.

 

To date, one thousand four hundred fifty-three (1453) cases, sixty-one (61) hospitalizations, and five (5) deaths have been associated with COVID 19 for the Kodiak Island Borough.

 

Residents are encouraged to stay home if ill, socially distance, and wear masks.

 

Vaccinations are available in Kodiak. Contact your health provider if you would like to be vaccinated.
