COVID Update Reader 10/26/2021

Today (Tuesday) the Kodiak Emergency Operations Center reported twenty-five (25) new cases of COVID 19 for the Kodiak Island Borough.

 

The cases were tested between the 14th and the 26th of October.

 

All cases are now classified as community spread.

 

One hundred twelve (112) cases are currently classified as active locally. There are two (2) active cases currently hospitalized in Kodiak.

 

Two thousand five hundred ninety-two (2592) cases, eighty-nine (89) local hospitalizations, and nine (9) deaths are now officially associated with COVID 19 for the Kodiak Island Borough.

 

A mask mandate is in effect for public indoor activities.

 

Residents are encouraged to stay home if ill, even if you have mild symptoms. Keep your distance from others whenever possible, and wear masks where appropriate.

 

 

Vaccinations and COVID tests are available from the Kodiak Area Native Association at (907) 486-9800 and the Kodiak Community Health Center at 481-5000. Vaccinations are also available at the Safeway and Walmart pharmacies.
