COVID Update Reader Monday November 8th, 2021

Today (Monday) the Kodiak Emergency Operations Center reported ten (10) new cases of COVID 19 for the Kodiak Island Borough.

 

One case was considered travel related, the other cases were classified as community spread.

 

Forty-eight (48) cases are currently classified as active locally. There are no active cases currently hospitalized in Kodiak.

 

Two thousand six hundred seventy-seven (2677) cases, ninety (90) local hospitalizations, and nine (9) deaths are now officially associated with COVID 19 for the Kodiak Island Borough.

 

A mask mandate is in effect for public indoor activities.

 

Residents are encouraged to stay home if ill, even if you have mild symptoms. Keep your distance from others whenever possible, and wear masks where appropriate.

 

 

Vaccinations and COVID tests are available from the Kodiak Area Native Association at (907) 486-9800 and the Kodiak Community Health Center at 481-5000. Vaccinations are also available at the Safeway and Walmart pharmacies.
