Kodiak COVID 19 Update 1/11/22

On Monday, the Kodiak Emergency Operations Center reported 235 new cases of COVID 19 for the Kodiak Island Borough, all discovered since the last update last Friday.

According to the update, there are 544 cases currently classified as active locally, with one active case currently hospitalized in Kodiak.

In the Kodiak Island Borough there have been 3440 cases, 104 local hospitalizations, and 9 deaths associated with COVID 19 since the pandemic began.

Residents are encouraged to stay home if ill, even with mild symptoms. Keeping distance from others whenever possible, and wearing masks where appropriate is also advised.

Vaccinations and COVID tests are available from the Kodiak Area Native Association at (907) 486-9800 and the Kodiak Community Health Center at 481-5000. Vaccinations are also available at the Safeway and Walmart pharmacies.
