On today’s Midday Report with host Terry Haines: The board that governs school sports in Alaska has decided against  preventing transgender athletes from participating in girls sports, for now. A federal judge in Washington state has affirmed a controversial ruling that could shut down trolling for king salmon in Southeast Alaska. And scientists are looking into the past of Mount Saint Augustine to better understand its future.
