A representative for the city’s harbor department said in a call that the boat sank on Nov. 13 while it was docked at St. Herman Harbor. The spokesperson did not say whether the boat had caused any damage to the harbor when it sank.

The cause for the Ohana’s sinking is still unknown, according to the representative. The boat was towed from its spot at the harbor to the gravel launch ramp nearby and salvage efforts could be seen from downtown Kodiak.
