Development Director (full-time)

Job Description:

The Development Director is responsible for planning, developing and implementing all of the Kodiak Public Broadcasting Corporation’s fundraising and public relation activities. Oversees, manages and directs all corporate, individual, foundation, fundraising, major giving, planned giving, and special project fundraising programs. Leads the development team to meet the revenue needs of the organization. Manages the development staff. May assist the General Manager on various issues outside of functional area of responsibilities as requested.

  • Planned Giving and Endowment

DUTIES

  • Design, organize, and coordinate on air fund drives.
  • Develop and manage constituency development programs.
  • Maintain and foster business underwriting and support grants.
  • Bill for all station receivables and maintain associated records.
  • Develop and coordinate promotional events.
  • Produce and distributes all station mailings.
  • Organize Annual Membership Meeting.
  • Maintain and increase public awareness of station.
  • Train volunteers in support of special projects and events.
  • Maintain all membership files.
  • Purchase and maintain inventories of station premiums.
  • Assists as Board of Directors resource and on capital campaigns
  • Assists other staff as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial and communication skills.
  • 5-plus years successful record in development.
  • Exceptional experience with basic computer skills
  • Experience working with databases.
  • Website development and social media skills
  • BA and/or specialized training desirable but not required.

 

COMPENSATION      This position is classified full time exempt with KPBC benefits. Salary range LEVEL 09 to 13 on KPBC Pay Grid: $25 to $30 per hour. DOE
