The Kodiak Island COVID-19 count has climbed to 66 cases, with two new reports of infection.

The Kodiak Emergency Services Organization says both have been classified as active locally.

20200901 Positive Test Announcement – Case 65-66

Staff from the Department of Public Health are in the process of conducting contact investigations and plan to stay in touch with the two people who have tested positive for COVID-19, to ensure self-isolation and self-care.

It’s been two weeks since there were positive cases reported, three on August 19th. Out of the 66 cases reported so far, 50 involve non-residents. About half are in the 20 to 29-year-old age group.
