In the last 24 hours Kodiak Island has had four new reports of COVID-19 exposure. The Kodiak Area Emergency Services Organization reported two cases on Tuesday and two more on Wednesday.
It says the two most recent cases are close contacts of the first two.

The Coast Guard has confirmed that all four of the recent cases involve Coast Guard members at the Kodiak Air Station.
On Tuesday, a Coast Guard spokesperson said only essential personnel are staffing the air station’s operations. Other workers have been asked to remain home, while the base undergoes widespread cleaning and disinfecting. Otherwise, the base remains mission ready.
Since April, there have been 78 cases of COVID-19 reported on Kodiak Island. A majority have been travel-related, spread by people who are close contacts.
