For the fourth day in a row, Kodiak has seen new cases of COVID-19, a total of 23 since Friday.
The Kodiak Area Emergency Services Organization announced three new cases today. All involve people who recently traveled. Contact investigations are underway.
Of the dozen that were reported yesterday, eleven were classified as close contact transmission cases, while only one was travel related.
Currently, 20 cases are considered active. The total number of cases since the first outbreak of the virus in April has now climbed to 121.
