Today the Kodiak Emergency Operations Center reported twenty-eight (28) new cases of COVID 19 for the Kodiak Island Borough.
Fifteen (15) cases were classified as community spread, one (1) was travel related, one (1) was of unknown transmission, and eleven (11) cases were close contacts of previously reported cases.
Two hundred fifty-two (252) cases of COVID 19 are classified as active locally. Three (3) cases are currently hospitalized in Kodiak.
To date, two thousand one hundred fifty-five (2155) total cases, eighty-three (83) local hospitalizations, and seven (7) deaths have been associated with COVID 19 in the Kodiak Island Borough.
A mask mandate is in effect for indoor public spaces.
Vaccinations are available in the Kodiak area from your health care provider or pharmacist.
