Another Kodiak Republican is heading to Juneau this winter. Former Assemblywoman and newly elected Representative Louise Stutes beat out Cordova Democrat Jerry McCune by 57 percent to 43 percent for the House District 32 seat during Tuesday’s election. Stutes garnered 2,456 while McCune came away with 1,858 and will represent the district in Juneau during the legislative session, which will begin in January.
KMXT’s Brianna Gibbs caught up with Stutes after the election to see how she was feeling about her win.
