A Kodiak Air Station helicopter crew medevaced a 71-year-old man suffering cardiac distress on Monday night, according to a post to the Air Station’s Facebook page.

The man and his son were airlifted from False Pass to Cold Bay where they were transferred to a plane to be taken for further treatment.

A post to the Air Station Kodiak’s Facebook page, said the Air Station’s MH-65 crew continued “its medevac streak” with the successful transport of the man and his son.

The helo is forward deployed to the fishing grounds where it can be close at hand for fishing vessels and others needing help.
