KMXT 100.1 FM Public Radio in Kodiak, Alaska
District R State Senator Gary Stevens of Kodiak has been named to the Leadership Committee of the National Conference of State Legislatures.
Stevens has been a member of the NCSL’s Executive Committee since 2005, a role he will continue to play in the organization.
The bipartisan group helps state lawmakers and their staffs with research, technical assistance and conferences to exchange ideas. It also advocates for state governments in Washington, D.C. with an emphasis on opposing un-funded federal mandates and prevention of unnecessary preemption of state laws and protection of state resources.
