Kodiak’s harbormaster is retiring. The city acknowledged harbormaster Lon White at its recent regular meeting. According to the city manager, White has worked at the harbor in various capacities for 36 years and began as harbor officer. He took over as harbormaster in 2014.

The city manager says they’ve been advertising for harbormaster, have an internal applicant and are currently conducting interviews.
