Tree branch knocks out power to some Kodiak residents

Some residents in Kodiak city limits experienced a short term power outage midday Wednesday. According to Kodiak Electric Association communications and HR specialist Nancy Sweeney, a branch fell on a power line near Baranof Street, taking power offline for nearly 500 customers in the area.
