The Alaska Commission on Aging met Monday and Tuesday in Anchorage. Two Kodiak residents are on the commission; Executive Director of the Kodiak Senior Center Pat Branson and Iver Malutin, who is also on the Sun’aq Tribal Council. The commission addressed many topics including a long-term elder’s healthcare plan and how to provide better resources for people with Alzheimer’s. KMXT’s Jennifer Canfield spoke with Malutin yesterday about the commission’s agenda.
