After the required 72-year wait, the National Archives has released data from the 1940 census. The records were made available online last week and have been so popular that the site often crashes. Census data inspires endless hours of research for history buffs like Anjuli Grantham who works at the Baranov Museum. KMXT’s Jennifer Canfield visited the museum to interview Grantham about how she uses the data to fill in the blanks of Kodiak’s history.
