New Hires, New Landfill Work, and New Construction Highlight Report

While the Kodiak Island Borough searches for a new manager, the director of the borough’s community development department has been filling in. Bud Cassidy gave the borough assembly a brief update of on-going projects at Thursday night’s meeting.

Trash blowing onto private property from the landfill on Monashka Bay Road has been a problem for the borough, which Cassidy says staff is addressing:

He also gave an update on the work in the buildings housing the Engineering and Facilities Department, which included students in the construction process:

The Assembly meets next in a work session this Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the conference room in the borough building.
