Mill Bay Culvert Cleared of Deadfall as Salmon Return

The culvert that connects Island Lake to Mill Bay has been cleared of scores of deadfall logs and stumps. Kodiak Soil and Water Conservation staff attempted cleaning the salmon stream’s culver, which runs under Rezanof Drive East, two weeks ago, but could barely budge the logjam.
